Rush Medical Student Awarded Prestigious Schweitzer Fellowship

Three Rush University students have been awarded Schweitzer Fellowships: medical student Vivian Leung and nursing students Saria Lofton and Benson Wright.  The Fellowships support exceptional students in health-related fields as they develop and direct year-long projects to improve health and access to care in underserved Chicago communities.

Janet Wolter, MD, Retires; Cancer Conference Space to Pay Tribute

Janet Wolter, MD, Brian Piccolo chair of Cancer Research and professor of medicine, retired in November, at the age of 83. During her 46 years at Rush, Wolter made important contributions to advances in cancer care and provided hope to thousands of breast cancer patients.
