About

The Alumni Association of Rush Medical College has a diverse and talented membership spanning more than 60 years of Rush graduates.

We owe a great debt of gratitude to our Rush Ones — alumni who attended the Medical School prior to the interruption of our preclinical program in 1942. This group of devoted men and women kept Rush’s charter alive for 30 years and were instrumental in reopening the school in 1972.

Nearly 4,000 doctors have graduated from Rush since its reopening. They practice in every specialty across the United States and around the world. A large contingency have remained in the Chicago area and many alumni — including Thomas Deutsch, MD 1979, provost of Rush University and dean of Rush Medical College — work right here at Rush.

Membership in the Alumni Association is automatic upon your graduation from Rush Medical College or completion of your post-graduate training at Rush. There are no annual dues or membership fees.
